Both these guys have fantastic 19thC colonial armies collections including the Sudan, Maximilian Adventure etc, etc. I only painted some of them (the Mutineer sepoys in the pic 3rd from the bottom, for instance).

I thoroughly enjoy gaming these eras using BP rules but have neither the means or time to collect all the figures hence joining a group of fellow enthusiasts who DO have the armies for a social game every fortnight or so. Its the perfect way to do it and enjoy a bit of variety as well.

Amongst our future planned games will be Napoleonics, Franco-Prussian War (for which I do have some figures), the Risorgiamento (we won't be doing Solferino though!) and perhaps Maximilian and Sudan - a pretty full 'dance card' before demo games at our annual Con!

Cheers,
DocDoc Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12454394616689797734noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3020094779384982600.post-22491769661714791942010-05-12T17:45:47.009+10:002010-05-12T17:45:47.009+10:00Excellent looking game, the period is tempting but...Excellent looking game, the period is tempting but there is only so much I can juggle at one time!

MattAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3020094779384982600.post-56341972006344570842010-05-12T14:16:54.896+10:002010-05-12T14:16:54.896+10:00I love Gunga Din's bullock cart! Sorry, I can't help myself....

It's a period I'd love to play one day, having lived in India as a kid and travelled to places like Cawnpore and Lucknow and seen all these places where these events took place.
